| Description: |
We are currently looking for a laboratory technician to work in the R&D department of one of our exciting clients. The successful candidate will assist engineers in the day to day activities and provide support where needed. He or she will carry out component and prototype product testing including fault finding and building test circuits under the guidance of the development engineer. The following key skills are required: - Understanding schematics and basic electronics Fault finding and identifying errors on PCBs to component level. Soldering components to PCBs down to 0603 and sometimes 0402 sizes. Familiar with rapid prototype processes and/or machinery. Use of Microsoft office to create documents, reports and mathematical calculations. Have a disciplined approach to the execution of tests and keeping records, results and documenting findings. Internal training will be provided and additional external training may be supplied where required. |
