Community & Environment
At Proteus Europe we try and do our bit for the community and surrounding environment. We use local suppliers where possible both for everyday office needs and larger projects.
Staff at Proteus Europe are proud to get involved in various charity events locally and nationwide. On both Red Nose Day and Children in Need Day, in return for a charitable contribution, we get the afternoon of work. For Children in Need 2017 we will be making Children in Need Pizzas! On Fridays we have an optional casual dress code and staff who are dressed-down donate £1 each to Naomi House charity.
Naomi House and jacksplace is a charity that provides support to children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families.
This begins when a child is referred to them, it may be from birth or young childhood, and continues for as long as a family needs. This support, known as palliative care, includes:
- Respite care
- End of life care
- Emergency support
- Bereavement support
- Family support
- Hospice at home
The charity has two hospices at Sutton Scotney, near Winchester. Naomi House, supports children and their families. jacksplace is a purpose built unit where young adults over the age of 18 visit.
Naomi House first opened in 1997 to support children who were not expected to live to become adults. Since then we have helped nearly 600 families from Berkshire, Dorset, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, West Sussex, Surrey and Wiltshire.
